Renaissance Baton Rouge Pop-Up Event (in photos)

Well, another successful pop-up shop is in the books for SoSis!

Through our two pop-ups to date, I've learned that people just love to shop, try things on, touch and feel the products we sell. I truly enjoyed meeting so many new faces last night, telling them our SoSis story and getting the word out.  It feels great when people appreciate the passion we have for this and I love meeting other vendors with that same passion too.

A lot of preparation goes into setting one of these up. Last night, Chel and I got a pretty good workout while hauling our huge suitcases filled with extra sizes, rolling our clothing rack that has a mind of its own, strolling in our naked mannequin that looks skinny but is pretty damn heavy, and of course hanging the many samples of clothes. Through all of our prep, I think we may have a good system down now, one that makes things easy to load and unpack. Valet last night definitely helped too. :)

And we can't forget about our amazing family and friends (a.k.a. support team/people that take care of my kids when I'm at these kind of things/those that keep us sane).  Without them, this wouldn't be possible.

If you're reading this, just know that it meant so much to us to see your face last night. Out of all the things you had to do, you came see us.

Our mannequin was there to show visitors how some of our unique pieces look on a figure, like this Midnight Love Matching Separate (in LOVE)! We're still trying to think of a cool name for our mannequin. Holla if you have any ideas![/caption]   [caption id="attachment_2293" align="aligncenter" width="800" class=" "]121114-PopUp1 Here we are with our sister from another mister, Shelby Lea. She's one of our biggest fans and we're lucky to love her like a sister (LYLAS, anyone?).[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_2308" align="aligncenter" width="800"]121114-PopUp6 Really, I don't think they make better people than this. All of these women with busy, busy lives, hired babysitters and so much on their Christmas to-do list were with me last night. How lucky am I?[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_2295" align="aligncenter" width="650" class=" "]121114-PopUp3 Notice our new T-shirts?!!! We literally picked them up on this day and couldn't WAIT to show them off. This is one of three styles (with a hoodie).[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_2296" align="aligncenter" width="650" class=" "]121114-PopUp4 Overall, we think it was a great event. We met so many amazing people and were able to introduce ourselves and our SoSis brand to everyone. We ended the night a Kona Grill for happy hour with some of the vendors from the night. Great times all around![/caption]

Did you miss this pop-up? No worries! We're hosting our very own at Brew Ha Ha in Baton Rouge next Thursday, December 18 from 5 - 8 p.m. Come out and see our products, have a drink on us and indulge in a few of Brew Ha Ha's famous cake balls! RSVP to our Facebook event.
