We Love These Looks for Fall 2019

While we don’t technically have a true fall in Louisiana, that doesn’t stop us from celebrating one of our favorite seasons! So get ready for all things pumpkin-flavored, bring out the cozy flannel, and prep your closet for the newest fall styles (maybe the weather will finally get the hint!).

Cowl Necks

90s nostalgia isn't going anywhere (but who's complaining?). Cowl necks were a favorite throughout the 90s and have made a return this season. This loose but cozy style is any piece of clothing with fabric that hangs or folds at the neckline and includes tops, sweaters, and even cowl neck scarves. From the color to the style, our latest cowl neck sweater has "autumn" written all over it.

We love how many looks you can get out of this piece—dress it down with dark wash denim and a dainty necklace or go bold with our Sneaky Snake Statement Earrings topped off with a sleeveless vest, like our Totally Rad Distressed Denim Vest.

Animal Print

Animal print was everywhere in Fall 2018, and we still can't get enough of it! And don't worry, animal print isn't just reserved for big coats, but if that's your thing, check out our Leopard Fur Bomber Jacket.

You'll begin noticing animal print on all types of clothing and accessories this fall. From leopard print cardigans to knotted headbands, we have animal print pieces that you can rock throughout fall—despite the temperature fluctuations.

Corduroy

Y'all, it's here and it's BIG this season. Say hello to your new best friend, corduroy! This fall trend is perfect for layering with lighter options to feel in season without being too hot (hey Louisiana, catch up!). Our camel corduroy flare pants are to die for. We are also loving this dad-shirt-like camel corduroy button up top and our oversized corduroy trench coat

Structured Sleeves

Since we're on the topic of our fickle fall weather, let's talk about structured sleeves. Tops with structured sleeves are great for dressing for fall but still adapting to our not-quite-fall climate. You'll love the variety of looks, from balloon and bowed sleeves, embellished shoulders, and oversized cuffs. Not only do these billowy sleeves add flair to any outfit, but they also allow more airflow to keep you cool if the temperature hasn't dropped yet.

Oversized Outerwear

While structured sleeves are great for the in-between days, when the cold days do come, an oversized jacket can be your best friend. Pair this look with skinny jeans or flare jeans for a look that's comfortable yet put together. And, of course, dress things up with the right jewelry, especially these gold hammered Tabby Earrings by your girl Annie Claire.

These styles are great starting points for your fall wardrobe, but the true fun is adding your own personal touch! Get started by shopping online for our new fall arrivals or visit SoSis Boutique today.
